Should I change from Autoaid to their sister company Autonational ?

My Autoaid renewal is coming up and will cost £63.64. I only drive one car now, and their sister company Autonational provide "Total Uk" cover "from" £39.91 for one named vehicle. Is the level of cover the same for personal on one hand and vehicle on the other apart from the obvious fact that with personal one can drive any vehicle. It seems sensible to opt for the much cheaper "Total UK".

Thanks for bringing this up, I'm with Autoaid and will do some research on this before my renewal.£216 saved 24 October 20141

I've been with Autonational for around 20 years on all the cars that we've had in that time.
Good response when needed.2 -
I find it strange that Autonational is not mentioned in MSE car breakdown best deals. It is always Autoaid. There must be a reasonable amount of drivers that only drive one car?

The product information documents for AutoAid and AutoNational (Total UK cover level) are identical so it is the same level of cover. Never heard of AutoNational before but it looks like the cover I need as I only ever drive one car. I wish MSE mentioned that on their breakdown cover pages as it could've saved me a few bob.

I've been with Autoaid for a while as it suits me because it includes my wife and her vehicle as well. I did look at Autonational Total UK at the last renewal and it seemed to quote different prices for different age vehicles0

Didn't AutoAid quote different prices for different ages? The auto renewal email I received from them asked for extra money for my 2010 reg:
Older Vehicle premium £ 14.90
I also came across the below notes when following the steps on https://secure.autoaidbreakdown.co.uk/join:
Note: if the vehicle at the time of breakdown is 10 years old or over, the first £25.00 of the cost will need to be paid by you direct to the Service Provider at the time of call out.and:Our standard membership will cover you in vehicles up to 15 years of age. This can be extended to any age vehicle.
