Of course, we shouldn't let this influence how we conduct our lives and if we want to cook tea at tea time, we will / should. Of course during GMT, when there is no spare to offset input, that may need a second look!1

Flux turned everything on its head, when I had the battery added, I was thinking we'd be able to use as much as we want when we want pretty much for free in the summer months. Now Flux has come along it all has a cost again, which was strange.0

Had some Google Play store credit about to expire so decided to drop a couple of quid on Octopus Watch. Was a bit perturbed when it immediately asked me for an ongoing subscription, but that bit is entirely optional and appears to be more geared towards Agile anyway. No nice neat charts that I can see, but it populated the daily net cost for both electric (including import and export) and gas within minutes.3.6 kW PV in the Midlands - 9x Sharp 400W black panels - 6x facing SE and 3x facing SW, Solaredge Optimisers and Inverter. 400W Derril Water (one day). I'm now doing a daily forced discharge of the battery between 4-7pm, taking the battery down to 60% charge, and topping the battery upto 100% during the low rate period.
Hoping the saving alone will cover the standing charge...
Until July comes of course - then we will have to see how the tariff changes..0
