New phone contract cancelled by 3g

Hi looking for advice/where I stand. Both me and my partner are with 3g and she was sent an offer through the post to renew her contract which is a really good deal so I renewed mine using the same webpage. I was given a new contract but two days later they cancelled it as they said the offer was only for my partner. Can they do this (cancel the contract)? I did nothing wrong my end I just did not realise it was for a select few customers and as I say they issued me with a contract

What do the T&C's of the offer state on the letter addressed to your partner?ripthemichael said:Hi looking for advice/where I stand. Hi powerful rogue, the t&c's are linked to a webpage that no longer exists so don't know the letter which was more of a threatening tone of sign a new contract or else we'll charge you a fortune for a rolling one0

Her letter doesn't state anywhere that it is an exclusive offer and if it was just for her why give me a contractoldernonethewiser said:Yes they can as the offer was not for you.I assume you mean Three, the company?0 -
At a guess, they would only expect people who got the letter to ask for this particular contract, so as you asked they assumed you had the letter, once they found out it didn't apply to you they cancelled it. There's nothing wrong with only making a contract available to selected people. The chink in their armour is that they didn't check to confirm you were entitled to it at the time you asked, so if you play on that you might get them to change their mind.ripthemichael said:

My experience with Three is that if you contact them through the chat on their website and are persistent they will generally offer you a pretty good retention deal.
