Terms and Conditions for The Magic on the Beach Smart Speaker Game

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to The Magic On The Beach Smart Speaker Game (the “Competition”). Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS

You may play the quiz as many times as you like, but competition entries are restricted to one (1) entry per person.

Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:

This competition is available on Amazon Alexa only, Entrants can join-in on any Amazon Alexa enabled device, or through the Amazon Alexa app on iOS or Android smart phones.

Entrants will need an Amazon Alexa account, and a Planet Radio account to complete your entry.

To enter the draw, you need to answer all 8 questions in the Magic On The Beach game correctly via Alexa, then agree to go to the Planet Radio Alexa Skill to login and link your account, or to create a Planet Radio account, so that we can retrieve your details

Once taken to the Planet Radio skill, you will be prompted to log in, you may do this in several ways: 1. You can visit planetradio.co.uk/alexa in a web browser, 2. Scan the QR code on a screen device to visit planetradio.co.uk/alexa 3. Follow prompts to get a link sent to your Alexa app, where you can login, 4. You may also login via the Magic mobile app, via settings, and where there is an option to link with Alexa . Once you've linked your account, just Ask Alexa for the Magic On The Beach game again, and follow the instructions to enter the draw.

If you do not wish to create a Planet Radio account and share your details, you may still play the Magic On The Beach game.

2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

There will be one winner of the Competition.

The winner of the Competition shall be decided via random selection from the pool of entrants at the end of the competition period.

To be eligible to participate in the Competition each entrant must play 'Magic on the Beach' the Magic Breakfast Show’s holiday Quiz on the Alexa Skill.

If you can make it from the ‘airport’ and get ‘On the Beach’ by answering all 8 multiple choice questions correctly, you can enter the draw to win an all inclusive holiday to Dubai.

One wrong answer and you will be out of the game and need to start the process again. This process will continue until you answer all the questions correctly.

You will only be given the option to enter the competition once you have answered all 8 questions correctly in a continuous flow.

1. ENTRY PERIOD

Entries must be submitted during the following entry period (the “Entry Period”):

from 00:01 on 27th January 2023 (the “Start Time”) to 23:59 on 6th March 2023 (the “End Time”).

Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.

The name and the hometown of the winner(s) will be announced on-air during the Magic Breakfast show between 06:00 am – 10:00 am on 9th March 2023

1. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

Open to residents of the United Kingdom aged eighteen (18) years or over on date of entry.

Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and / or is in breach of any of the terms and conditions of this Competition. We reserve the right to repeat the Competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with the terms and conditions of this Competition.

If any person has won a competition on any Bauer Media brand to the value of £500 or more in the past six (6) months, they nor any other person living at their registered address is eligible to win the Competition. 1. THE PRIZE

The winning entrant will receive the following prize (the “Prize”):

The Prize must be taken in 2023 between 20th March 2023] and 20th March 2024.

The Prize is provided by On the Beach Limited (the “Prize Provider”). We are not responsible for any aspect of the Prize, including unsatisfactory quality or late delivery or a prize winner being unable to take up any aspect, or the entirety of the Prize due to their own circumstances or restrictions.

The Prize does not include travel insurance, or any other items or expense not specifically stated within the Prize description. All such costs and expenses will be the responsibility of the relevant Winner and members of their travelling party.

The winner and their travelling party are responsible for charges that apply for any food, beverages or services outside of the all-inclusive plan.

The winner and their travelling party are responsible for ensuring they (i) hold a valid passport and any necessary visa to travel, (ii) hold all adequate travel insurance policies, and (iii) comply with any other terms and conditions applicable to the Prize.

Once the Prize Provider has been informed of the Winner by the promoter of the competition, the Prize Provider will contact the Winner to facilitate the Prize. The Prize cannot be redeemed online. It may only be redeemed upon a telephone booking.

Any booking made to redeem the Prize is also subject to the Prize Provider’s separate terms of business, and the terms and conditions of the suppliers of the flights and accommodation. Copies of these terms can be found on the Prize Provider’s website (www.onthebeach.co.uk/terms_of_business).

Any fees or costs associated with or incidental to the acceptance or use of a Prize (other than delivery of the same in accordance with these terms) will be the responsibility of the Winner.

The Prize is subject to availability and the Prize Provider reserves the right to replace the Prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Prize Provider’s control make it necessary to do so.

The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and has no cash value. No cash equivalent will be given.

The Prize Provider will process personal data in line with its privacy policy, which can be found at: www.onthebeach.co.uk/privacy.

The Prize Provider reserves the right (at its absolute discretion) to award any additional prize that it deems appropriate to the Shortlisted Entrants. Any additional prize awarded may be subject to further terms and conditions (including third party terms and conditions).

The Promoter reserves the right (at its absolute discretion) to award any additional prize that it deems appropriate to the Shortlisted Entrants. Any additional prize awarded may be subject to further terms and conditions (including third party terms and conditions).

For the avoidance of doubt, any prize awarded is non-transferable, non-refundable and where a non-cash prize is awarded no cash alternative will be offered.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS.

By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the Competition and / or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

MISCELLANEOUS.

By saying yes to enter the game and competition you are agreeing to the terms and conditions as explained in the game introduction. Entries which do not comply with these Specific Terms or the General Terms will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, the Specific Terms or the General Terms.

Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.

You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.

We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the Competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the Competition.

Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the Competition. You may be also disqualified from the Competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.

As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize.

I searched it in the Alexa app on my phone - you can start by saying

Alexa, open magic on the Beach
Alexa, start magic on the beach
Alexa, launch magic on the beach

I entered - used Alexa on Firestick on TV - asked

Alexa play Magic FM Magic on the beach

Then completed the quiz then it asked to link my alexa to my magic account. Did this by scanning the QR code with my phone - logged into my account and then I went back to the fire stick and asked it to play magic fm magic on the beach again. This then went to a thanks for entering and link your account. Agreed to the linking and it then said I had entered.
