planning rules

my builder has suggested that the law has changed or may be changing shortly to make it easier for owner occupiers to get planning permission for certain works than would previously have required PP. this would of course, save on some fees.

is this true and would it be worth waiting?

    It is true. However, when will it actually come into law - who knows?

    thanks, just googled it. seems like they are talking about it but no law yet. not sure how it will affect me if at all though. wait and see I guess.
