Panic -Date payments made 22/23 to Pensioner

My mother in law in her 80's is on Pension Credits and has a bank statement this morning which she claims shows no additional payments other than state pension.,  Sadly we have no local bank(nearest is 60 mile round trip) for her to go into,  she says the statement is from last June - this sounds strange in itself  !
Can anyone please advise of the dates when payments were made as I live a distance away and she is distraught on the phone.

I am sure she has £330 approx go in in June last year and it is dates roughly after that ie second payment, then the other fuel amount and how it would show on statement.

It is difficult as she wont make outgoing calls from her phone as on a special low income BT tariff.

If I have this knowledge my only action if to drive to her home and bring her to mine so I can phone DWP and bank.

This is really also throwing concerns about her well being not knowing what goes in her bank.

Payment dates of PC are commonly every four weeks but can be paid weekly - depends what MIL set up.

I think you need to be there in person to see for yourself and establish if this has just been sent now or if it's an old statement she has just come across. Is there an ATM from her bank local to her? You should be able to get a mini statement there which usually shows the last 10 transactions so might shed some light.

As Calcotti says, there aren't set dates for PC, it can change from person to person.

Another thing to consider is Power of Attorney, if you've not already got this in place. If you have concerns then it's best to get that in place sooner rather than later then you have it ready to go if it needs to be invoked

Well it is sorted after a drive around, the first was shown on previous statement and the other was on the present - seems she was obscured by all amounts being from DWP and her ref code etc.  While I was on my way hubby left text to say she had realised she had received all that was due when he called brother!!.  As for POA I fear that is something for her eldest son to address, me well I am the nearest to her location and first at hand.
