Does anyone know for how long HSBC hold bank statements please? Is it for more than 7 years?

Thank you. My husband is looking for statements of around 10 - 12 years. Maybe it's not possible

Highly unlikely any bank would keep statements that old.2

HSBC would be able to tell you.1

Although Barclays don’t hold actual bank statements for more than 6 years, they do keep transaction history data for much much longer than that. When I worked there I dealt with requests from customers for transaction data from 20+ years prior and the data was available for that long ago, and we would print it off in branch.Might be worth speaking to HSBC to see if they can do the same.3

Thank you for your reply mab3000. I called HSBC and they said they could send statements from 12 years ago - which is good news

I don't believe online banking will allow you to view over 7 years, although if you contact HSBC by phone or go in-branch, they usually have a record somewhere.0
