Recently more junk emails getting to my inbox

In recent days, I've noticed a few junk/spam emails getting through to my Microsoft Outlook inbox, whereas previously they were all sent to Junk.

Any reason this is suddenly happening?

I'm Apple but have noticed a vast increase in junk emails

yes i am on outlook and i am getting a few.
but most still go into junk mail,  and i get quite a few each day.

Same it's getting a bit ridiculous.

Ive also started getting ads at the top of my inbox on my phone which I never had before

Have you checked if your email address may have been compromised in a hack?

'haveibeenpwned' has a good email and phone number checker, theres also a seperate one for checking if your passwords may have been collected in a hack.

They are free to use.

I don't yet have permissions to post links here but a browser search will find them.

This happening to me too. Most junk still goes to Junk folder but just recently getting 20-30 a day in my Focused inbox

the problem is getting worse,  today all my junk mails are in the main inbox.  and nothing was in the junk.
is this problem happening with any one else?

That explains it. I still get loads of rubbish (mainly from USA)  in my junk folder but a few manage to get into my Inbox. Hopefully Microsoft will sort it soon.

I wonder if there's a way to block emails coming from America, or non UK companies. Probably not.

Sudden influx of “squirting” spam emails. Surprised there’s that many people with that sort of fetish.
