Reaching Deadlock with Get Licensed.

Hi,

I registered and paid for a training course with Get Linseed last month. 5 days before the start of the course, the company gave me some very unacceptable mis-information. 3 days before the course they revealed their mis-information error to me and left me unable to remedy the situation with enough time to actually begin the course.

They are refusing to refund me after requesting a refund several times. We are now at deadlock and I will be taking this matter further in order to get the refund I am legally entitled to.

I have searched online, but cannot find any kind of ombudsman that takes on the Get Licensed company. Does anyone know where it is to escalate a situation involving Get licensed? This is all I need to know.

many thanks.

We don’t know who Get Licensed are, but there’s no such thing as some sort of general ombudsman, only for certain regulated sectors. So your next step would be court action.
  • They are not regulated by anyone.

Can you be more specific about the misinformation? How did you pay?

You might be able to do a charge back or section 75 claim if you used a credit card, otherwise your only option is a MCOL.

Seems they are a 3rd party...

    https://www.get-licensed.co.uk/terms

Get Licensed is a marketplace for training courses which connects buyers and sellers.

Buyers are students looking to book training courses and sellers are approved trainers.

Buyers book courses using the GL website with approved partners. The funds collected are held safely in an escrow account till successful completion of a training course.

Once training is successfully completed, GL deducts their booking commission, venue hire cost and any other disbursements and sends a payout to the partner.

Get Licensed only works with fully approved and insured training partners to safeguard buyers.

What was the "gave me some very unacceptable mis-information."?

Though there may be a danger of the company being affected by self combustion.
