Help with cross trainer distance

Hi techs, hoping this could be a good place to ask. I have a reebok cross trainer (gx40s) and I have signed up for a virtual challenge, I did 26 minutes, and 11.1 as a distance , but what does this relate to? Can't be km or miles, can't be revolutions or meters. I had resistance on 9 which is about halway so I was moving at a fast walk / slow jog pace.
Please advise

    Slow jog speed is 6 - 10km/h
    So 26 minutes would be 3 - 4.5 km

ETA: 11.1 doesn't seem to be in any standard units.
Unless is was a really fast jog. 11.1km in 26 minutes is 4 minute mile territory!
  • I found a comment that says the the unit is km but also that the displayed distance is massively inaccurate.

Yeah just doesn't make sense to me. 11.10 was the actual reading, so there's 2 units after the decimal.
I thought it's meters at first, going up steadily 1, 2 , 3  (0.01, 0.02 etc) then gets to 10s of meters 0.10, 0.20, 0.30 , again this seemed about right with the steps/rotations. But then is it hundreds 01.00 equalling 100 meters? And so would 11.10 equal only 1,110 meters as that seems too little in 26 minutes. It's frustrating as I have been recording it as kilometers 11.1km on my virtual challenge but feel I'm cheating.
I did a walk on street and did about 4 miles on 1 hour, so at first I thought it was accurate as I'm going faster on this so maybe doing a little more distance in half the time seemed right.

I'd agree with k_man's figures, 11km is way too high as that would put you around 14 miles an hour.  If your cross trainer records the strides per minute or the RPM, you can calculate the distance more accurately in combination with the stride length of the machine.

I know the accuracies can be off. Our machines are in mph, allegedly. I'll generally be at a 3.5-4.2mph pace. Just having a look at one entry for mine at the weekend, 20mins11sec had me covering 1.42 mile.

Not sure how that converts to KM.

Well, I am... Throw it in to a calculator, but I'm happy in old money.
