Bathroom renovations dilemma

Major advice needed please!
So these are photos of our current bathroom where we plan to remove the shower and put a bath in, fine.
The problem is that in one corner we have the stairs bulkhead and the boiler. This all used to be an airing cupboard outside of the bathroom/on the landing as is pretty standard (previous owners did this).
We are completely renovating the bathroom and we’ve had a few people round but none of them can suggest any ideas on how to utilise the corner better. I had thought about putting the sink there but it just won’t work cause of the access needed to the boiler.
So I’m now toying with the idea of reinstating the airing cupboard as the extra storage we could put in there would come in very useful. But it would take floor space away from our bathroom and I fear it will make it seem tiny. On the other hand, we aren’t really gaining anything currently!
Does anyone have any other suggestions or do you think we should turn it back into an airing cupboard and have a smaller (nicer) bathroom?

Given how small the room appears to be If you are removing the shower I think that you should install a new one over it. Do not use a shaped bath they already look dated. If you reinstall an airing cupboard you would lose space. You can use current cupboard for shallow storage and maybe a basket or box for movable storage on the shelf0

Vert similar to our bathroom BUT we are going to take out the bath and the airing cupboard , it used to hold the hot water tank but as we now have a combi boiler we had it taken out,the other difference is we have no window as it is an internal bathroom.
Can you not remove the bit at the bottom of what was the airing cupboard and make the room look bigger.0 -

Open shelves of slatted wood like an airing cupboard has?I've been looking at one that has this set under a wash basin in a row of built in cupboards and it lightens it a lot.You have to keep the towels tidy but it can add a feature. This is a bit crude and could be made more attractive but it also allows access to the pipes etc. This is a better idea but it's on a wall. Could still work as an inset open set
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
