InPost Item Delivered but Item not Received

Hey all!
I ordered an item off eBay a couple of days ago and yesterday at 7:40 PM I got a notification saying item has been delivered. I was not home at this time and as soon as I reached home I looked around the house and there was no parcel anywhere. I do not think it has been left outside and then got nicked because it was dark at that time and would be hard to notice it from the road. Plus I never had instances where an item got stolen from my doorsteps before.
I tried to go to InPost website to track the item but whenever I try to track it I get an error: "We seem to have a problem and cannot load your information."
The trouble is that on eBay the item shows as delivered so even if I open an INR the seller would win this. When I had this happen to me before I had to get in touch with Royal Mail and get a letter stating that item was not delivered to correct address (I believe it's called a letter of non-delivery) but I'm not sure how to proceed with this InPost delivery as I do not know who the courier is and who to get in touch with.
Any suggestions?

I think if you haven't received the item then you need to contact the sender or open an INR claim on Ebay. That should at least get you the proof of delivery if nothing else.1

Hi OP
When did this happen as it may have been delivered to the wrong address? We had item delivered to wrong address but for whatever reason the people that got the boxed item avout 18 inches x 18 took several days to knock on our door - just a thought
But do contact the seller
Thanks1 -

OP as suggested, speak to seller but also phone ebay and explain that you haven't got it and you need additional delivery details to try and track it down as nothing is available from the courier.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thank you all, it's been sorted. Unfortunately seller didn't even bother to respond, but a neighbor down the road brought it to me yesterday.3
