Morning Everyone and thanks for starting us off Gers.
It's also damp here.
Hope you all have a super Saturday. x7 -
What a slow Saturday! I've now woken properly though I've somehow pulled a muscle in my back so am moving very gingerly. My niece is on the train from London which arrives in about an hour or so. I'll get her brother to meet her from it, the station is just round the corner from here.10

Hi everyone,
Gers, have a lovely reunion with your niece and nephew.
Yesterday rather got away from me. Laura and Brian both had work to do at various ties so I was looking after the children which meant that I didn't get a lot else done. I shall try to finish sorting the kitchen today instead. We had steak and chips last night and very good it was too, luckily we all like it cooked to the same level of doneness which is fairly rare. my dad used to have his steak cooked to the consistency of shoe leather. Tonight I shall do a cottage pie (or maybe something veggie because we have had a lot of meat this week.
Have a good day.11 -
Morning all
Dull and overcast here but no frost and not as cold as it has been.
I have put a wash on but it will have to go on the airer as it looks like rain.
Housework to do this morning and then get the dogs out for a walk, I also need to pop to the shops to get a diary for this year, I’m a bit late buying one but I do need one for work.
Dinner tonight is battered halloumi with chips and salad, very tasty but not good for a diet !
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning...I did manage to get the verge done, now I am eyeing up every other verge to see if I fancy tidying them up too. I probably will do at least two more. It's all very well to always be blaming the council for not doing this or that but I also think that if you have a bit of pride in where you live, then get off your behind and make it look better. I'm going to get a tree to put there, probably a crab apple, because then, I get to pick the fruits
Or an olive or something...Ideas on a postcard please. My compost needs sorting out, I'm going to have remix it all, it is fairly rotted in the first one but it could do with more, and it's too wet, so that's todays job. Other than that, a bit of pottering, some meal planning, maybe a very indulgent mcdonalds breakfast, [can't help it, love the hash browns] that's my day. I'm quite please so far this year as far as shopping goes, I've done an awful lot less of it and gaps are starting to appear on the shelves and in the freezers. It's also time for a freezer inventory, maybe a job for tomorrow.
Gers, enjoy your reunion! snoozer, I did wonder, then I realised you left something out[from yesterdays] My father always liked cremated steak too, I like it still mooing. Well, I did some detective work and I see some of the MIAs are still reading along, so, good morning to you all, hugs n stuff....Or if you don't do hugging, complicated fist bumping hand slap stuff....:)

Morning everyone Gers enjoy your weekend Taff well done on sorting out the verges I’m with you on that one when I moved into this house I did all the paving and the gutter people in the street were saying they had never even seen it been swept before never mind cleaned well I have to look at it at it makes me feel better I’m the same if anything blows out of peoples bins when they put out for the bin man it takes no doing to pick it up and makes the street look better when I moved in here they probably said look at that fussy old bat she’s out again but I don’t care it’s nice to have a nice area . Snoozer my hubby likes everything cremated his veg boiled to death yuk . I had a voucher for Money off at Morrison and if you spent so much you got 5 pence off a litre of fuel I got some things I haven’t had for a while but I had a shock at the prices I’m used to shopping in Lidl and Aldi and taking advantage of the reduced items I nearly fainted at some of the prices. Carolbee I’ve loved Robson greens program we live in a beautiful part of the world and we don’t appreciate it as much as we should I sometimes go out with the dog and just look around and breathe not in the winter though it’s so cold you can’t breathe not up here in the dale’s anyway. It’s looking bright and not as chilly today I will get a good walk in later I’ve been for a short one I really should be cracking on with some housework but there’s plenty of horrible days to do that . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Taff
I do (?)Namaste ,seems more calming and certainly easier than elbow / fist bumping .more respectful too
Started during lockdown after I saw the King (than Prince of Wales ) do it and thought how much better it was.
Most people are surprised initially, but then remark how good it feels
Can’t remember if it’s a Buddhist or Hindu custom but try it .
still mostly reading a long9 -
Afternoon everyone
I had a rather slow start this morning as I didn't wake up till almost 9 and I was very achy.
I've been down to mam and dads to do his banking and have a cuppa then I went to M and S for bread and bananas and Asda to go to the post office. I was good and walked home - about 25 minutes walk - rather than wait for the bus. I have some ironing to do and then it will be a lazy afternoon. Little one is coming later but not till after tea as her and DD are out for her cousin's birthday.
Gers - enjoy your weekend in Glasgow with your niece and nephew.
Snoozer - hope you get a little bit of peaceful time at some point
Carolbee - enjoy the panto - little one and I saw a great one a few weeks ago - she still acting out bits of it!
Hope everyone has a good weekend x10
