Asda Parking Ticket

On the 28th January 2023 I was parked in Asda car park at Leyton Mills East London in a disabled bay with my badge on display. When I came out from Asda I found a ticket on my car, that stated "not parked correctly within the markings of the bay or space" The car park is under the management of UKPC management. I was shocked to find this ticket on my car. Ok I wasn't straight within the bay only my back wheel was partly on the white lines & the rest of my car in the bay. I was not blocking anybody from walking past my car or blocking another disabled person gaining access to there vehicle either side of me even if that person was a wheelchair user they had ample space. As far as I am a wear there isn't a law that states that disabled drives must park within the disabled bays/space.

Please advise me on what I should do??

I really don't think its right for me to obtain a ticket for this. I have posted some pictures so that you can see how I was parked.

I have also written/emailed Asda Leyton Mills to highlight my discuss at this ticket &the way they allow UKPC to treat there disabled costumers

Thanks for your help & support in advance

You've initiated Plan A which is good. You must make sure that your complaint to Asda goes to the top of their food chain. A simple customer service person will not do and many will have no idea about how to get this PCN cancelled. You go to the store manager and if no luck there you complain directly to the CEO.

You must read and re-read the Newbies thread near the top of this forum and try to understand the steps and the process that this has to take. You will get full support on here from the regulars who have much experience in dealing with these bottom-dwelling, ex-clamper private parking companies.

For now, apart from your Plan A, which should also include a complaint to your MP, you should wait for a NtK to arrive. When that does, you can post a redacted copy of it so we can see the allegation and what terms they think you are in breach of.

Welcome!  Yes it's a scam PCN.  Those bays are wider to give you more room, and there's no reason nor legitimate interest in issuing a fake 'fine' to a disabled service user.

But DO NOT appeal talking about who parked.

Just follow the appeal tactic of waiting till day 26 and then appealing only as registered keeper.  Not saying who was driving.  See the NEWBIES thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Looking at that car park on Google: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.5556781,-0.0091119,3a,75y,309.73h,76.85t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sJuYNZbtwQInITKzBTnKVzw!2e0!7i16384!8i8192

There are almost no signs visible that show any terms. Certainly none near the disabled parking bays. This will be a crucial part of your appeal and any defence if this doesn't get cancelled under Plan A.

You could drive in, park in any one of the first 9 disabled bays, walk into Asda and never pass ANY sign with any terms or conditions on it.
