New car is here, I like it but jeez everything is all controlled by the onboard screen and there’s alerts that go off and symbols that flash up for all sorts. I feel like a pilot must feel when preparing a plane for take off, turning off settings I don’t need, adjusting settings 😂 what happened to good old fashioned knobs and switches?
My insurance gave me 30 days temp cover on the old one so that will give me time to use up my left over petrol and take it to WBAC, whatever they give me for it will be an over payment to the loan.
my dog is poorly at the moment so he is currently my priority and we have a vets appt tomorrow which I hope will give me some sort of advice and what we can do to help him. This has been going on for weeks now and this is out 4th appt for the same issue so I am really hoping we get some answers, I hate seeing him like this.

Glad the new car has arrived 🙌 I know what you mean about needing a degree in electronics to just get started though - it's another reason I'm dreading having to change my car eventually! 😳😂
Really sorry your dog is unwell - its awful when they're poorly, makes you feel so helpless 😢 fingers crossed for tomorrow's vet visit 🤞'Happiness is not a destination but the journey you walk every day'

I’ve woke up and thought it was Friday today… 😣 oh well looks like this may be a long week.
Dog has been seen by vets, they have taken some Samples and now we just have to wait for the results to come in so fingers crossed! He is doing better than he has been but that’s probably the tablets they have put him on.
Unfortunately the insurance won’t pay out as I seem to have swapped providers after his initial symptoms back in October so I am kicking myself for that! £700 for sedation and tests🤦♀️ Thankfully I had built up a surplus in the dog pot over the months and was able to grab £400 from there.
The new car has also just cost me £279. The dealership only delivered it with one key and when I queried it they said I can go and get another key made and they will pay. The manufacturer said they can’t invoice the dealership and need the money up front to order so I had to pay and hopefully will not have to fight too hard to claim it back (There’s also another £190 to pay when the key arrives and they code it to the car)
Maybe this is all why it feels like Friday lol
All of a sudden it’s feeling really hard to stay motivated with my savings, it’s shocking how it can take so long to save money and yet £1000 is gone in under 24 hours

Crikey my spreadsheets are a mess this month🤦♀️ between the dog, car and Xmas I’ve been pulling money from everywhere!
When I finished my Nov end of month tally I was very excited to see how I was going to end the year, I had surplus in most of my pots and it all looked very well managed lol. Now I’ve decided to start Jan fresh with a new spreadsheet and a new notebook so I can sneakily close the door on this month and pretend it didn’t happen.
The good news is that the swab results came back for the dog and he has an infection that is resistant to normal antibiotics which explains why we have been having issues ongoing for so long. The vets have now given us new antibiotics that should work and finally get him back to normal, this was of course at a cost (another £70) but if it works then we will be very happy!
All Xmas presents have been purchased and wrapped so that is another tick box and the car…well that’s an update for another day.
I do however once again appreciate the pots and considering I started this in April they have been a life saver this month and I am excited to start 2026 knowing how beneficial they are and maybe even create a few new ones once I’ve really gone through this years reports.Save £12k in 2025 #32 £14,871.88 / £6000

Yesterday was an absolute miserable day weather wise, I knew it was going to rain but had no idea that wind was going to be so strong!
Every time the wind picks up like that I worry about my back fence, it’s extremely loose and I always think this is the day it’s going to come down. I have shoved some random containers up against it and it’s held for now.
I get really anxious and panicky whenever something in the house goes wrong as a couple of years ago my landlord called me to discuss selling the place, I told him about my DMP and at that time I had been here 11 years so explained that it felt like home now. He was lovely and agreed he would sell another property instead but since then I’ve felt like I can’t relax and he isn’t getting any younger so I’m here on borrowed time.
I pay to get most things fixed myself now and I don’t mind as I have been here for so long but the back fence is an expense I really don’t want to pay out for.Anyway the dog is walking better every day, my new car is currently back with the dealership having the snags all repaired (no cost to me) The money for the 2nd key has also been repaid into my account so all is not as bad as it seemed. Now only 6 more days to get through and Xmas will be over and I can relax againSave £12k in 2025 #32 £14,871.88 / £6000

That's good news about your dog as it's a worry when they aren't well. It's a shame the car has had to go back for some things fixing but at least you know it will be OK without incurring any costs.1

Just sold the old car and surprisingly got £1000 more than I was expecting so extremely happy with that! The car tax is paid annually and expires in August next year so will get some of that back too.I will pay it all of the loan as soon as it comes in so will be a good start to my pay off loan early chanllenge 😃Save £12k in 2025 #32 £14,871.88 / £6000
