Worried about esa update letter.

I've just had my letter about the update to my esa amount.

just worried because the dates at the end that this is the amount I will receive from april to 29th november 2023.

Is this when my reassessment will be?

    1) Could mean that the rate in November £23 will go by £10 in one week when you receive the Xmas bonus (and will then drop back to the same rate). Very confusing letter - has nothing to do with your assessment date.
    2) If you are on new style ESA and claimed in November 2022 and are not in the Support Group the November 2023 is when your ESA will stop because if not in the Support Group ESA is limited to 52 weeks).
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
  • on the old esa support group.

I hope it is due to a change in rate over a reassessment.

on the old esa support group.

Then it will be because of the £10 Christmas bonus. ESA letters this time of year always say entitlement until end of November. It's nothing at all to worry about.

If you have been on ESA for several years (which you must be) this is the same letter I would expect you to have received every year.

Not always,  All my  ESA (Support Group)  uprating letters just stated From April the rates will change,  never had a "to" date.

ESA letters about entitlement amounts are notoriously dreadful and unhelpful. It will be connected with the first week in December being the week when you get the £10 Christmas Bonus.

Are you in receipt of Income-Related ESA only? if so, you won't get a Christmas Bonus paid with your ESA so there will be no change in the amount paid during the (tax) year.
