Hello All
Called the cover provider today mid contract to cancel cover. They are insisting i have to pay the full 12 months premium to leave. My point is nowhere in the contract T&C's does it say this and they are just saying "thats what a 12 month contract means". However i thought a contract has to tell you if this would be the case?
. Contract Term - Your contract term is 12 months (1 Year) and starts on the start date
set out above (start date) and continues until it is terminated in accordance with this
agreement.
ii. Cancellation - You are free to leave the agreement at the end of each contract term
by giving us notice (by telephone or in writing) in the last 28 days of that year
set out above (start date) and continues until it is terminated in accordance with this
agreement.
ii. Cancellation - You are free to leave the agreement at the end of each contract term
by giving us notice (by telephone or in writing) in the last 28 days of that year
We may end your agreement at any time if:
• You give us false or incorrect information;
• You fail to pay for your plan;
• You use threatening or abusive behaviour or language; or
• Your system is deemed by us to be unsuitable for our support plans.

Nowhere in the contract does it say about cancelling early or that a fee is payable, can i just cancel the direct debit?
Thanks

can i just cancel the direct debit?You can, but they can chase you for the debt. Also, similar mobile contracts are reported to CRAs and failure to pay results in missed payments and a default recorded there.
