Companies giving money back?

Hi, probably in the wrong place, but have all businesses recently been made to check their accounts?

I have had 3 emails today from 3 different companies, saying they have reviewed my accounts with them, and have realised I wasn’t treated fairly, and are offering good will payments in the region of £200-500, seems like government have hit them with something.

No businesses have been made to check their accounts.

    All lenders run regular audits.

The government haven't hit anyone with anything.

Hi, so this is a scam?

Don't click on anything anywhere. And please don't give anyone your bank details. If they say you are due a goodwill gesture ask them to send a cheque.

If you've dealt with them in the past they'll have your address to send your cheque. Don't give your address to anyone.

Report the emails to Action Fraud.

That's what I think, anyway, for what it's worth.

Edited to add: on second thought, it's probably best to just report the emails, forward to Action Fraud - and then delete them without responding.

Not scams, all three are from reputable companies, and have it stated on their websites too.

If the reason for giving money as stated because of unfair treatment why do not they just send you a voucher, good will to be used for next purchase. That is the default way of most reputable companies shops , utility companies compensating their      customers. For banks they will credit a small amount directly to your account.
Do they ask you to click something ? Entering Personal, financial information ??
