faulty TV help
I've had a TV from AO.com and during the first 12 months it developed a fault I reported it after 11 months but it was happening before - I thought a software update would cure it but it didn't.(switches itself off and then back on again) it's been for repair twice - first time they replaced parts and second time they said they found nothing wrong (despite showing them a video of it happening.
I've done everything AO.com has asked me to - rang LG got them to arrange a repair, then got them to arrange a second repair (they had the TV for a month the second time). now despite advising me that they would try to get me a replacement , LG have now said that they won't due to the TV repair company saying that it didn't have a fault but we're willing to send it for repair again, which I refused. They have have advised me to go back to AO.com.
can someone please help me with my rights so that I can go to AO all informed?
thanks in advance for your help

After six months the onus is on you to prove the fault. If LG says there is no fault, then your only option will be to take the TV to another repair company and pay for a report. If the report confirms there is a fault and it was one likely to be present when manufactured, then take that to AO to enforce your consumer rights.nottinghamshirelad said:I've searched for the answer but couldn't find it.

The fault would not need to be present when manufactured. I presume you mean an inherent fault, which is not quite the same.
From Google:
An inherent defect is any defect in the premises or in anything installed in or on the premises which is attributable to defective design, defective workmanship, defective materials or defective supervision of the construction or installation of anything in or on the premises.
After working for 30 years, most of the repairs I carried out were inherent faults, these were faults that we referred to back in the day as stock faults, common faults that always happened due to poor design of the circuitry and poor components used. Many of the faults took years to show up. Each model had the same components that would fail. These faults though were not present when new and often occurred when out of warranty
I am not saying your tv has an inherent fault though, as you have given very little information what is the full model number of your TV, how often in an evening does it restart itself?
