in Credit cards
Twice I have tried to transfer my Zopa credit card balance to Barclays and Halifax and was told Zopa won't allow me to do so, the chat to an agent is very unhelpful and vague apart from stating that the banks are part of their NewDay providers that they dont allow transfers to be made to, please could you advise me as this is very frustrating, has anyone managed a successful transfer from Zopa to another bank?

It’s in their terms and conditions that they DO NOT allow balance transfers in OR out of the account, unfortunately.
The only option you have is to utilise Curve and accept the cash withdrawal / cash-like-transaction consequences if you are intent on using the card for BT purposes. If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

I've had a Boost 07 account open since September last year but have just noticed that Zopa has it as having been opened only in May this year. I've asked them via their chat but they coudn't explain the cause and have escalated it.
More trivial perhaps but every time they add interest the amount actually added to the balance is 1p more than the individual item displays. That's annoying when you are trying to keep track.
Meanwhile Family BS are now offering an 'instant access' online saver paying 4.35% which betters all of the Zopa notice accounts. I put 'instant access' in quotes because you actually don't get the money until the working day after you've requested it.

Zopa is competitive but has been trumped lately by other higher interest rate paying easy access accounts such as Tandem. If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

That's interesting. I didn't know that. Why would they made such T&C?

It's likely they use different systems that probably aren't compatible for one reason or another - for example, you don't pay your Zopa credit card balance by direct debit, you log your debit card details, and they just debit your account monthly as a CCA payment. Zopa offer decent rate cards, but are 'different' in the way they do things compared to regular credit cards. You might describe them as a bit quirky.

I pay via debit card as I get Avios points from this.If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

Just go for a MT card rather than a BT card - maybe your card offers that? Or use the BT card to cover all your day to day stuff for as long as you can BT and use the money "saved" to pay Zopa.Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
