Hard drive failing?

I've been having problems opening the pictures folder on my internal media drive, and tried just about every solution I could find to fix it with no success.
Now I'm running chkdsk /f on the drive, but so far (6 hours) it has checked 16558 of 63744 in stage 1, and has flagged up 4 unreadable file record segments. ETA: 40hrs+
Time to replace the drive? I've got all the important stuff backed up, thankfully!

New drive needed. Its only going to get worse from here on in. Replace it.
