Hello helpful community,
My sister has just received multiple parking PCNs which are now a court business claim. They are from 2022 at Barnet Hospital (she worked there at the time). They amount to 800 which is insane for parking. It is from parking Eye via the dcb legal team.
Now I have read previous threads, so complaining to PALs may not work as she wasn't a patient but staff at the time.
Parking Eye defence on forums isn't very clear as the rest such as UKPC, there's not one template fits all.
I feel like parking Eye is not as defendable as UKPC and it's a lost cause or am I wrong?
Ps. Yes will apply for AOS \SAR etc. County business court claim dated 06\02\23. So we have time.
Many thanks

With a Claim Issue Date of 6th February, your sister has until Monday 27th February to file an Acknowledgment of Service. Do not file an Acknowledgment of Service before 11th February, but otherwise there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, she has until 4pm on Monday 13th March 2023 to file her Defence.That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.1 -

Thanks for the reply. Yes aware of all above, more concerned with template re Parking Eye and the fact that she's NHS staff at the hospital parking it took at.

Please copy and paste the Particulars of Claim here (on the left on the claim form, but redact the car VRM) and the total monies claimed, as shown in the table on the right of the form.
I want to know how DCBLegal have expressed this multi PCN Claim.
The Template Defence might fit after all if DCBLegal have added 'fees'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

And add something like this but remove the reference to 'residential car park, and anything else suited to your case:

Update on this.
They issued a hearing date in January, and after ignoring DCB's emails and phone calls they ended up cancelling and withdrawing the whole claim a few weeks after the hearing date was issued.
Can I counterclaim and add charges for the hours spent to tackle this?

@Umkomaas alert! AOBTD.
A counterclaim should have been made when responding to the initial claim. Even so, it is very difficult to succeed in a counterclaim for something like this. You have won. Rejoice in the fact that it probably cost them a lot more than it has cost you.hyperlime said:
