Broadband Credit Search Criteria

I noticed that Broadband services now require a credit check, even the ones for social tariffs.
I called two companies to find out more, they were only able to say it was binary, you pass or don't pass.
Can anyone please tell me if there is a specific score or how would the check be calculated?

"Scores" are just made up numbers and do not accurately reflect whether you can obtain credit.
Nobody will be able to tell you the criteria for passing a credit check but they will look at current commitments (affordability), payment history (late or defaults) etc1 -
As above, the score you see on your credit report is utterly meaningless. Different companies will have different criteria, and will assign different weightings to different elements of the data contained in your credit file. But common among pretty much all lenders is a check to see if you're registered on the Electoral Roll, and any negatives such as late/missed payments, CCJs, defaults, AR markers etc.
