Life assurance beats critical illness on a priority.
I'd say the opposite but PHI is the most valuable cover, and the most likely to reach a claim status.0 -
We are paying £90.11 per month for life cover including critical illness cover, ages 40 and 36, mortgage 137,000. It is a decreasing life policy. I am wondering now if we are wasting our money? Any advice really welcome.0

I am going to cancel mine and my OH's as it is £35 each going out a month that seems unnecessary. We are early 30s, no kids, both healthy and prepared to take the risk of not having it.
We were persuaded to take it out by an IFA when we bought our first house and when I think of the thousands we have ploughed into it, (which comes to nothing unless we die or become critically ill) I cringe.
In my view it's better to cancel now before we waste any more money.0
