Bulb raised my rates in January

My rates are peak 40.5740 & off peak 25.2100. I used in January peak 402.6 kw off peak 1217 kw. I left Scottish Power in 2019 to join Bulb. Not all companies would take on the legacy tariff0

The weighted average for day and night is 34.12p at the above rate, so it is well within the EPG price even after the increase, as I said earlier you have just "lost" an additional discount that was not part of the EPG, and your rates have been adjusted to EPG level.
For your usage you are paying an average of 29.03p so your tariff is well worth it.
You are talking about an legacy tariff. Are you maybe on E10 and not E7?2 -
Did it make all E7 pricing unattractive or just your supplier?Gerry1 said:
Not so. I switched to single rate because the January price changes made E7 unattractive.dunstonh said:Ludicrously forcing many off of E7 etc and therefore probably increasing peak demand risk.If the person was not better off on multi-tariff after the January changes then it means they were not better off before. Their use of off peak was so small that it made virtually no difference to supply/demand.
For example, EDF have moved to attract more off peak users. Whereas others, like Bulb have a much closer ratio that is suitable for lighter off peak users. But to counter that, with the off peak rate of 7p vs 53p peak we have tried to push more into the off peak period. When we were with a supplier that favoured a smaller ratio of peak use, we made less of an effort.
And so for them it's now a question of do I put the washing machine or dishwasher on at 6pm when it's convenient or after midnight when I used to - when they cost exacly the same on my new flat rate.So for those on marginal E7 benefit - it is no longer so - so many ( a few regulars here amongst others ) have therefore rechecked - and as advised by the MSE team main articles on the subject - have switched to SR.And I wonder how many of those that went to single rate would have been better sticking with E7 but with a different supplier.

Cheap rates come on twice a day 3:30 to 7:30 and 1:30 to 16:30. Luckily I have been paying more on my DDM to cover payments, Feels as though I am paying for the whole road at the moment. I also have a log burner in the living room so I have turned off the storage heater in there. I always try and do washing and a dishwasher load during the afternoon. I think it must be the pond pump and husbands fish tank that is costing a lot0

Indeed, there have been many threads where posters are alarmed at their overall use and when asked to list their electric devices, they included both of those things and in most cases they didnt realise the level of electricity these devices burn through.
