How to get through to a Virgin Media UK-based call centre

Dial their new customer helpline 0800 064 3836 and answer the prompts as if your a new customer and you'll be put through to a UK-based call centre in a jiffy. It may be cheating but you've got to fight fire with fire and once there you can ask them to sort out your problem or ask them to let you speak to someone who can.
It's a shame really but it does show Virgin Media for what they are: existing and perhaps loyal customers are asked to dial 150 and inevitably get put through to an Indian call centre while potential new customers get treated far better and without making umpteen depressions on their phone keypad.   • I've stuck to WhatsApp the last couple of years. No waiting on hold, receive a message, respond to message. I'll be doing so again in the next few days about my contract hike/termination.

    Agree with the WhatsApp method. I usually sign in to My Virgin account, go on the chat, and if it's gonna take a bit of time, go on to WhatsApp. I can carry on working while they get round to dealing with things. Only phoned VM once in 7 years.
