Update - yesterday was more ‘typical Brits weather’ around us with grey skies and temps 5c.

So the bedroom and hall were both 14c when I started the log burner just before 5pm.

Once our lounge reached 20c I opened the doors again to hall & bedroom and started the fans which I had extended the cable and moved higher up the walls near the ceiling.

The hall & kitchen reached 16.5c and stayed there - but the bedroom only got to 15.9c

If I can find one I’ll buy a 3rd USB fan today and place it just inside the bedroom door on the floor to hopefully encourage the heat  enter the room.

Im also going to return the fans to
their original position lower down to see if that helps to reach a higher temperature like the day before.

Relatively balmy temperatures today so not sure we will even need a fire tonight so might not continue till next cold snap.

If you position extra fan so it is pulling air into room rather pushing air into room that might help.

I am only guessing but that is what I would try.

Do you know any old hippies who might have a couple of spare joss sticks to help check out airflow with different placement of fans.
