Switching Banks for the free cash

Should be perfectly fine, as long as you read the terms & conditions first to make sure it doesn't have anything to state that it's 1 switch per household.1

Known of them seem to have 1 switch per household that I can see in any of the T&Cs.
Hopefully that’s the case as I’ve worked out that if me and the other half take out separate accounts with each we could potentially be £1000 better off.
Here’s hoping 😊0 -
I just want to warn anyone thinking of doing this, my original bank (Santander) blocked my switch to First Direct twice, the first time the chat bot said it might be because I was overdrawn, so I tried again, aiming for the first half of the month, when my account remained in credit but it got refused a second time. That's when I called the Switching Team. They said they have to press a button somewhere to allow the switch.
All was good until the third month of having the account came and went and still no cash reward and when I queried it, it was because the switch had to be done within the first 30 days of opening the account. So, through no fault of my own, I didn't get the money, so a complete waste of time.
I've raised a complaint but I don't think I'll get anywhere. Just another lesson learned I guess.0 -
