If it says on Companies House  - confirmation statement overdue (in red print), does this mean that the company may be having financial issues?

Not necessarily.   It just means they haven't completed the confirmation statement when they should have done (this is literally going online and telling the HMRC what the company does).    Doesn't have anything to do with financial stuff - however, if they are lax at completing the confirmation statement, are they lax at other things?

If the accounts are up to date I personally wouldn't read into the confirmation statement not being done on time.
  • I agree with the above, I would view it that they are very poor at admin, not that they are in financial difficulty.

It also depends on how long it's overdue.

When it gets to a certain point the company will be struck off.

It 's a dangerous game to play though as it's a criminal offence to fail to file them so not doing them on time is a risk as they only get 14 days overdue.

The directors will be prosecuted so it would be silly to ignore them.

I think they were just being slow as it's on there now.
