Is the calculator thing accurate and do the student grants actually pay enough for rent and food?
Seems to me that despite us saving for the last 2 years we wont be able to do much but pay half the student rent !
Do we try and recommend our Son lives at home so we can pay for everything together ?

So many variables. Rents in some cities can be a lot more than others, leaving far more/ less for other living costs.
