Thought I would give an update.
My set aside is still being processed.
In the meantime I have had Civil Enforcement's Legal Team email me the below trying to scare me into dropping the set aside with a reduced payment. I really hate these people.0 -
Civil Enforcement also havent respond to my personal data request (that I sent in early Feb)
Any advice on what to do about this?0 -
Reply to their legal team and tell them no, you will not be paying them any money and they MUST NOT mock up a 'consent order' to mislead the court. There will be no consent unless they agree to set aside the CCJ and reimburse the £275 fee to the Defendant, given the fact that CEL breached the Code of Practice by not bothering to re-check the address before litigation. Anyone would think this was Wonga (oh wait, CEL's in-house barrister Scott Wilson used to be Head of Legal at failed and disgraced WONGA...).
Then add that
Civil Enforcement also haven't respond to my personal data request (that I sent in early Feb) so where is the SAR reply?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Do you think it is also okay to just ignore the email? Or it's better to reply with the above?1

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks all, I was just hesitant as I would rather not communicate with them at all if not necessary. Have now sent what coupon-mad suggested.0
