Young baby and partner who has become ill

Hi,

I know someone who has recently become a parent, unfortunately, his partner has become ill and currently cannot look after the baby. This has meant he has had to take on all of the childcare duties, but it also means he can't work.

Is there any support or help they can get in this situation? Any help with childcare to allow him to work?

Thanks
