Canopy to entrance porch - planning permission needed?

I understand up to 3 sq m no planning permission needed for creating new entrance porch.
In my home, there is an existing canopy - like a flat slab creating a recess on top of doorway.
I now want to raise wall and create an enclosed porch. The area will be over 3 sq m.
The question is, do I need to seek planning permission or having existing canopy is considered an entrance porch?

I have attached image of what I have. The red outline at the front where I want to put a new door. The red horizontal lines where I want to put either a brick wall or glazed UPVC panels.

I'm guessing from the new build bricks in your pic it's not a national park, national trust or conservation area?

Correct, it is not in restricted or conservation area.
