FYI you can now get the incentive for switching to first direct even if you hold an account with HSBC, as long as it was opened before Jan 2020 (previously this was Jan 2019).
Some of us pulled the trigger too early!

You may hold an HSBC account and still qualify for the offer, as long as the current account was opened before 1 January 2020

Just realised, I didn't switch in when I opened, so I may be okay to now switch.0

Unless you're a new customer to First Direct and are switching in within 3 months of opening your account, you won't be eligible for the incentive - does this apply to you?0

I am within 3 months yes.
Anyone (like me) that opened a new account partly due to the 7% RS, should be within 3 months too.
Albeit starts to get a bit tighter as the in app chat switch process states 10 working days minimum.1 -
Update:
Account was created early December (when my existing HSBC account meant no incentive was available)
