Britpark.com pub car park fine

I went into a local pub for a meal a week ago last Saturday and then this Saturday got a notice for £100 fine or £60 if paid now because I didn't validate my parking. I called the pub and person on the phone said there is signs as you come in to the parking area. Now my problem is the pub is set back behind trees and you have to cross a footpath to get in, I accidentally went in the exit way out than the entrance so didn't see the sign also was at night so didn't see the signs next to the door on the way in as was getting kids in the door. When ordering food and drinks wasn't told once by staff that you had to validate parking and when told her this she just said to email them and to appeal. Most people are telling me to ignore them as it would cost them more to take me to claims court. Is this advice just an old myth or should I appeal but then does that mean that I'm then in dialogue with them and liable for any fines? Tried to find a specific answer on the thread but strugglef to find anything related.

You do not need a specific related to your situation these are not fines they are invoices from chancers the fact that you did not see any signage is significant.Read the newbies thread on here it's all there but don't ignore it.Who is the PPC, where is this pub we may have heard of it before, a land owners cancellation is always the first try though the PPC often gives sites like this a back hander for every one paid.2

Plan A is always for the vehicle keeper to complain to the landowner, and in this case the pub manager and brewery CEO, and the keeper's MP.
Point out to the pub that nobody in your family can afford to eat or drink there if every visit comes with a £100 surcharge. Other pubs are available.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks2 -
Get back to the pub.
If they say something like you will need to appeal to the parking company as it's nothing to do with then tell them they are liable for the actions of their agents in this case an un regulated parking company.
And that the pub failed to tell your group to register the vehicle.

It's the old grey mare pub in Hull. When I said they didn't tell me I had to validate they basically just said to appeal and state why. I said last time I came it wasn't like this to which they said it's been about a year and I'd visited longer than that so wasn't aware and hadn't been told when entering as you're not expected to read every sign on the walls as entering the property.0

But have you exhausted the complaint and insisted the pub cancel it? They can.
