Kit needed for concealing cables in chimney breast for TV to mounted to wall.

Please can anyone help this simpleton.
We want our TV mounted on our chimney breast wall. Its a solid wall and we are getting a handyman on Friday to do the channelling out of the chimney breast for us amongst other jobs on Friday.
The following week we are having all our walls reskimmed including the chimney breast.
My question is apart for a bracket for the TV to hang from what kit do we need to buy for the burying of these cables in the channelled out section of the wall?
For info we will have 3 cables we need feeding through; a TV aerial cable, the TV power cable and a HDMI cable to run from the TV to the x-box. The power supply is from the double socket in the alcove to the left of the chimney breast at skirting board height.
Please can someone spoon feed me exactly what we need (with links to products if possible). I assume at very least there will be some tube or cable cover to protect the cables in the wall from the new plaster. I thought I also saw something about a 'back box'?
I would be ever so grateful as I'm pretty much clueless.

Are you planning on having an open fire or stove below the TV, or has it all been bricked up ?

Currently open but not used / no stove.
In future would be considering a stove but no firm plans0 -
To protect the cables, look at trunking such as Screwfix item 67599. I'd also think about hiding a couple of extra hdmi cables - even if you don't use them now, you may want to in the future to add extra devices/games console/sky tv etc1

Thanks, would I need to purchase 2 create a full protective tube around the cables or just 1? Would you suggest anything else I need in addition like a plate for the cables ends to come out of?0

If you're plastering anyway, you could batten the chimney breast by 25mm and then plasterboard over and skim. It's easier to feed/fish wires up/down through a large gap behind the tv than create a small, more permanent pathway where you find you can't ever change the tv plug.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

When we had an extension built with a wall mounted TV and hidden cables, as well as the power point, HDMI and antenna cable, I had an ethernet port wired in (with a corresponding port near my router in the next room). That way, I can run the TV over cable rather than WiFi.
Looks great and absolutely no visible cables. Bit awkward to lift the TV off the wall bracket because of all the cables, but there's enough slack in them to make it possible for two people and it's not as if you do it very often.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards.
