Applying to Rent First House

My partner and I are applying to rent our first property together. I have lived the easy life at my parents and brought my now almost teenage daughter up there. DP has children from a previous relationship and comes with his half of the money from the sale of their jointly owned property so we would be prepared to offer 3-6 months of rent up front.
The issue is with the section on the form about adverse credit. How much detail do you have to give?
DP is in the process of having financial association to his ex partner removed from his file. His credit isn't particularly good but we can't see anything on there to attribute this to. He pays a loan back to Halifax at £25/month that had long since defaulted and is no longer visible on there. All bad debt from their relationship is in her name, there is nothing in his name or anything they are jointly responsible for. He doesn't use a credit card but does have a mobile phone contract but there are no late payments on it. Will it be the financial association that is affecting it?
My personal circumstances are a little different. I am almost 5 years into a DMP with Stepchange to clear £27k and I am down at £7k ish outstanding. I have no missed payments in that time. Some of my debts were defaulted in 2018 so they are paid to the likes of Wescot and Lowell and the rest have just accepted the payments per Stepchange's proposal and frozen the interest on them. If I log into Equifax I don't have any red or amber flags on any sections and it claims it's very good. I can't see anything that would flag as adverse, but that is exactly how I would describe my credit if someone asked!
So, apologies for waffling...My main question is, is the estate agent likely to take one look at our form and tell the landlord to avoid us like the plague? Do I have to declare adverse credit for myself when Equifax are saying it looks alright? Any advice is greatly appreciated as the viewing is on Saturday and we are 99% sure we would like to submit the application.
Thank you

Agents can only search the public records from the credit file which includes insolvencies but does not include DMPs. Likewise they cannot see any detail data on you partners late payments etc so unless he has ccjs etc then they cannot see.
They may ask more detailed questions in the application process which is up to you how you respond but they have no means to verify your answers.
Basically keep your head down, you should be OK.1 -
Can I ask how this went for you as I’m in a very similar situation myself, looking to jointly rent with my partner and I have a DMP with two accounts showing defaulted. The information online is very conflicting and it would be good to get a response from someone in the same situation.
Thank you0 -
Offering several months rent upfront is not always a solution, as many LL's or LA's will assume that you are intending to engage in exotic horticultural practices...No free lunch, and no free laptop
