  • Again @matelodave your opinion may work for someone who is NT but those with ASD can’t learn consequences in the manner you mean as they are unable to moderate their behaviour

For practical help with the phone, do you want to post a picture or two?  I can’t see a problem with taping the back cover, as long as there’s no possibility of cutting oneself.

I am slightly surprised that you need a complete replacement for the camera module. Super glue is a great tool! But of course, i have not seen it.

You can look up the second hand value of these phones and they seem to be around £300 mark, so you don’t want to spend more than say half that repairing this one.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
  • I forgot I had insurance!!

Paying the excess to get a new camera unit and the back replaced, for under £100.

Agreed going forward that if it happens again we won’t be able to claim again so we are going to try find some calm down techniques for when he gets overwhelmed. It’s hard, he’s big and strong now.

If with a better case it gets broken again he will not get a replacement of the same.

Have the insurance company agreed to all that? I thought DS smashed the phone deliberately?

Will the insurance company pay the second hand value to you instead?
