Transferring money from S&S to cash ISA

Options
Barclays are offering a pretty attractive 1 year fixed ISA for 4% ,  a rate I’d be quite happy to accept on my riskier stock market investments , also ISA held.

Is there a limit to the amount you can transfer in from a S&S to a cash ISA? And does the £85,000 FCA guarantee apply to funds held in a cash ISA?

Some institutions (e.g. Fidelity) do not permit partial transfers-out from S&S ISA.
