Financial Ombudsman - how can I appeal decision / elevate the complaint?

What if the FO has not been competent - and repeatedly ignored key aspects of my complaint? Surely a second hearing is possible? That is why you have two chances. Once with the adjudicator and once with the ombudsman.
You can raise a complaint against the service but think about it for one second. To get to that stage, the firm would have to have rejected your complaint. The adjudicator at the FOS has rejected your complaint and then the ombudsman would have to reject your complaint. In that case, have you considered that your complaint isn't really valid?

I am not satisfied that FO have adequately reviewed my complaint
What is FO email address for elevating the complaint & insisting on a new reviewer?
My network agree that my position is strong - and warrants an appeal.
Surely an independent reviewer within FO can be requested?

If you rejected the adjudicators decision already you have already had your second hearing by an ombudsman reviewing the case.
A complaint can be made about the FOS itself but that will be typically be about the time it took etc, they dont reopen the underlying complaint.0 -
Hi i have the same issue just had word back from the ombudsman who have also not held up my complaint as i was out of the 6 month time limit but i had extremely good health reasons and they wont even consider it. Gutted. What is it they have overlooked on yours?0

If both the adjudicator and the ombudsman have reviewed your complaint and they both state you’re out of time then that decision is final.
Your options are:
1) Fight them in court (expensive)
2) Accept defeat, put it down to experience and move on.

Typically, the only reasons they will use are incapacity or immediate family bereavement.
