Need to replace gearbox in uPVC door

Current one is a Safeware brand which doesn't seem that common especially in shops like Screwfix. I'm wondering if I could replace it with another brand that's more easily available? There are some that look very similar

Have you looked on ebay for a spare ?
Needed to replace mine a while back, only to find it was obsolete. Found an ebay seller who had stocks of matching gearboxes. Replacing the whole multipoint locking system was a step too far for me.

Yes. The thing is I need two. I have ordered one for the back door which still locks but you often have to turn the key several times for it to catch. But the other door gearbox is mangled and I can't lock it so need one today.

But I think @plumb1_2 was saying that you won’t get them in a shed.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

The local trade places will often deal with the public as well. I've found them really knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting an alternative when the original part is no longer available. Presumably they come across these issues all the time.
