Banking question - Paying for flights using £ or Canadian $?

    Update: Thank you for everyone's replies.  I went into Nationwide and asked them for the SWIFT and BAC codes and they helped me brilliantly.
    I have since applied for an international money transfer for $2500 Canadian (the maximum in a single transaction) and the £££s arrived in my Nationwide account this morning so I set up another transfer to cover the rest of the tickets.
    Hopefully by this time next week we'll have booked our holiday to visit the in-laws!

    Out of curiosity, what exchange rate and charges were involved in doing this, i.e. how many £££s arrived in your Nationwide account?
