Why isn't ISBANK listed as a top paying savings account

The MSE top fixed term savings accounts page mentions 4.45% as the top interest for five years saving account.

As far as I understand, through Raisin, ISBANK is offering 4.5%. (And has been for a while now.)

Am I missing something? Is there a drawback to ISBANK that I'm unaware of?

I could be wrong but suspect that it might be because that rate is only available via Raisin - it also isn't shown in the more comprehensive listings at Moneyfacts either, but Savings Champion does include it.  Moral being to check multiple sources I suppose....

As far as I'm aware, MSE only promotes accounts exclusive to services like Raisin when there is an MSE affiliate link available and/or cashback for the saver.

Unless you are already certain that you'd like to go via Raisin, it might be worth searching the Forum for reports from people who have tried Raisin.
  • Raisin is going to be down for about a week.
Had lots of emails about it.
I wanted to fund Isbank account on the 13/02/23, but due to them switching banks for deposits my application will be closed and I will
need to apply again on the 13th if still avaliable.

That might explain their sudden eagerness to close down my account as I hadn't been using their services recently.

Now it is showing, a week later  :).
  • It’s there for sure now, at 08.30am I took out the 7 year deal.
Just need my matured funds to hit Raisin account and it will self fund the new bond.
  • Funded the Isbank account today, all is good.

Funded the Isbank account today, all is good.
Surely the time to judge whether 'all is good' for a savings provider comes somewhat later than initially funding it?

This is my second savings account with them, first one paid out fine.
So no hesitation going with them again.
