Hi everybody.
My Garmin satnav has recently failed & I want to salvage the favorites to transfer to another device which a friend has given me. The Garmin Express software does not connect.
Can anybody please advise me where on my PC the favorites file is stored when backed up (Garmin Express used to work), & how I can recover them & convert for transfer to my "new" satnav?

Thanks.

It's likely to be stored in your Garmin account, so if you add a new device it'll sync them up.

The problem is Garmin Express will not update. This means it will not sync with the device.

According to this post there isn't a file you can recover, it's stored internally and only accessible from Garmin Express. That wasn't the case last time I wanted to transfer from a really old Garmin, but it may be true of modern versions?
When did you last connect to Garmin Express? On my laptops I have a folder Documents\Garmin\Backups\. I think the most recent Current.gpx file in the subfolders could be what you need?

Last Garmin Express connection was back in November. I will have a look for the folder & see what it shows me. Thanks
