Hi everyone, these are the CCJ's. Went through a divorce. No excuse but bills were the last thing on my mind, stronger people would have handled it better.
1. Judgement date 06/02/2017 - £451
2. Judgement date 09/02/2017 - £861
3. Judgement date 13/06/2018 - £326
I am hoping to rent somewhere. I cannot satisfy the first two, can i contact Experian regarding the first two next week, to make sure they've come off the record?
Also, how can i satisfy number 3? Its a small amount but id like to pay it off, so that my credit file shows that ive atleast attempted it. This is all so im more attractive to landlords.
Any ideas?
Cheers.

You contact the creditor to pay it off.
You don't need to contact Experian. They fall off each of your files 6 years from being put on.0 -
Judgement 1 & 2 will drop off your file automatically at the six year point, the 3rd one next June.
As above really, you contact the creditor and make arrangements to settle it, a settled CCJ is marginally better than an unsatisfied one.
Where renting is concerned, it depends what type of check they do on you, there is a full credit check, which will show all public information, and there is also a landlords check, which just confirms identity, previous addresses etc.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. 1. It is unlikely to make a difference to the sort of Landlord who does a Tenant Reference check (whether it is satisfied or not).
2. Get written references from former Landlords, also get redacted bank statements showing rent was paid on time for previous Landlords.
3. Use places like spareroom dot com to become a lodger or contact local homeless charity for Landlord that rent HMO to people with no status
4. Put the money towards paying 6 months rent upfront, that attracts certain Landlords.
5. When you move you will be contacted by one or other company debt3 has been passed to, ignore their mail until you get one offering 90% off and settle it then.
6. There are plenty of rogue landlords that will rent to you, often they are sloppy and don't protect your deposit or fail to get an HMO license (you can get list of local landlords with HMO from your Council). So take a 6 month tenancy to start, then get a new tenancy or roll over (when fixed term tenancy expires and you stay in property, it automatically creates a Statutory Periodic Tenancy if not already a Contractual Periodic Tenancy). If they have not protected your deposit AND served you the Prescribed Information you can claim between 1x and 3x the deposit PER Tenancy. If they have not licensed an HMO when required to you can get a Rent Repayment Order for up to 12 months rent (time limited and based on conduct of Landlord).
Don't feel bad about CCJ's, if you were given credit the money never existed in the first place, it has been repaid by insurance and by paying it you keep the rotten system going.
