My son and I are 50/50 on a B2L house. We intend to sell in 4 years but with the CGT laws changing and he wants to buy his first house to live in, then it makes sense to transfer his percentage to me. Do we need to fill in a TR1 or TP1 form? No money will be changing hands between us.

You need a TR1
A TP1 is used when a part/section of a whole title is being sold, not when one owner is being removed.4 -

You will be transferring ownership of the whole property (from 2 names into one), not tranferring part of the property (eg the garden only)2
