Will report back on whether it scratches, but yes will be using mats.
The rest of the room is boringly tasteful - wanted a bit of wow in it. The colour is called Slap Happy

Makes a change from Elephant’s Breath and Mouse’s Back😉1 -
Nice, NTL
Badger, I reckon there's a killing to be made from a range of decent quality paints with a pee-take on pretentious names like these (alas, the ones you've mentioned ring bells with a recent flat make-over overseen by my sil... have to admit, tho', it looked pretty darned good
)How about, um, 'Shaved Mole'? 'Lapwing's Tongue'. 'Seagull's Butt'. 'Trodden Chip'. 'Stomach Lining' aka 'Diced Carrot'. My order is placed.1 -
Hmmm. I like the sound of Lapwing’s Tongue. Not sure about Stomach Lining though. I’ve often thought I could start a second career as a creative decorative medium nomenclaturist😘ThisIsWeird said:Nice, NTL

We have a black acrylic top on our coffee table. It is not the easiest to clean, and has gained many microscratches despite pretty religious use of coasters and mats...NeverTooLate said:Will report back on whether it scratches, but yes will be using mats.

I've just ordered some acrylic polish which promises to polish out the scratches - we shall see if it works....Emmia said:

When I needed to disguise any scratches on plastic equipment newly installed, used to apply a coat or two of Hard as Nails ( Sally Hansen), just a light touch then clean surface with a alcohol wipe, never perfect but stopped scratch getting dirt in it.
Kept it well hidden in my toolbox, did not want talked about.
