Mercedes retail selling some dealerships to Hedin Automotive

Hi
We got emails this morning MercedesBenz retail arm.
Not sure how this will impact us owners other tha email is reassuring but we will have to wait and see
The dealerships are in south London, not sure why they are not doing the same to north side of the waters.
Change of hands is made offical on 31 March

Never heard of Hedin Automotive.

Hopefully with will get cheaper servicing but I'm fearig even higher prices

Thanks

MB have now disposed of all their dealerships in the UK.

I was going to ask whether that included the full MB World at Brooklands, but then realised pretty much the first paragraph of the linked article says it includes "the German premium carmaker’s dealerships at its Brooklands Mercedes-Benz World operation in Weybridge, Surrey,"

Is that just the car dealership within MB World, or the whole "museum" and "experience" operation at that location?

I have to be honest, MB World is quite a good place to visit (free) even if you have no interest in buying a car, plus the "track-day" event experiences that can be taken part in (at a cost).

[There is also the full Brooklands Museum (chargeable, totally separate from MB) next door if you really want a day out, or a spa hotel if you want to really make a weekend of it.]

If you did have interest in buying a car it is probably the last dealership I'd ever go to.

Last time I went wasn't too long after the AMG GT came out and it was 20 questions to get in to the dealership area to ensure you were really interested in buying a car and then further ropes and restrictions around the AMG area. As soon as saying thinking of switching current similarish vehicle then you were suddenly welcome

True - I can only imagine that they get far more timewasters than the typical showroom.

Hundreds more, per day I'd have thought.

You could see the new car in the muesum but to get inside etc then either it was a fair chunk to pay to do some laps in it or you went to the dealership area. It was probably a bit more understandable that day but having been a few times the others weren't much better.
