Well my mum received an email from dcb Legal saying the client is going to proceed. Haven't heard anything back from the courts as of yet though. So I got three issues with what they've told us
- The email says they've filed the directions questionnaire that they submitted. Is there anything there that'll be useful for us going forward? I've had a once through and nothing really stands out.
- They also mention that we have 7 days to try calling the client if we want to talk about settling, I'm not sure if this is the mediation that the NEWBIE post mentions, since it made it sound like we'd be getting a call from them not us contacting them.
- They added some stuff about about if we provided and email address that we should let them know about any limitations in using this email address like having a maximum on the file size we receive. Like am I crazy here, does that really happen or is there other limitations that they're just not saying and hoping we trip over.

2 - ignore this, it is NOT the mediation call. If they try calling, block the number and report to ICO as an unwanted or harassing phone call.
3 - This is because the court email system has strict file size limits. It doesn't usually apply to consumer grade email systems. Gmail will prompt the user to upload to Google Drive and send the URL link for attachments that are too large to be sent by email. The Gmail ilimit is 25MB which is more than enough for most Witness Statements.
