Car insurance change of address - won’t cover new address

I moved house 4 days ago. I have my car insurance with BEAM from the AA. I notified them of the new address & was told they don’t cover that postcode. But gave me a quote from another insurer on their panel for £350 more than my current policy. I have only moved 1 mile. Country village no high crime. The house we have moved to is a new build, 18 mths old, one previous owner.
If I put in a quote for my neighbours house same postcode, different number - I get a quote from BEAM & AA. Why will they quote for one house & not the neighbour? My neighbour confirms no vehicles have been stolen on the street. How can I find out why my house number won’t get car insurance cover. TIA

Have you tried calling and speaking to a human? Not always easy, but it's the only way you are likely to get a clear answer. It may even be down to the type of car/location combination, but only they can explain.
